Alma J. Reyes began her legal career as a personal injury paralegal. In 1998, she worked at a personal injury firm. Ms. Reyes remained at the firm for over ten years gaining knowledge of personal injury law. During her time there, she assisted several clients who have been injured by the action of others. Her work as a personal injury paralegal further cultivated her interest in the practice of law. Thus, while working as a paralegal, she attended law school.

Ms. Reyes earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of St. Thomas, Texas. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree at the University of Houston- Clear Lake, graduating with top honors. In 2009, she graduated from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Soon after graduating from law school, she began her career at Vela & Reed, PLLC, in downtown Houston.

In addition to personal injury law, Alma is also an experienced immigration lawyer. She has represented several clients and maintains a firm commitment to advocating on their behalf.
Alma enjoys both personal injury law and immigration law. And remains sympathetic to the needs of her clients. They are often going through a tough time and need someone with superior legal guidance yet is compassionate and insightful.
