Alyssa Salinas

Attorney

Alyssa Salinas proudly advocates for policyholders in first-party insurance cases. Her journey to representing policyholders began long before she attended law school. She was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, then moved to Austin, where she attended the University of Texas. During undergrad, she was actively involved in a service organization and spent her free time participating in community service around Austin.

After graduating and earning her Bachelor’s degree, she attended South Texas College of Law Houston. She graduated in the top third of her class and was an active member of the South Texas Law Review.

While in law school, Alyssa was a judicial intern for the Honorable Frances H. Stacy at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. This experience significantly impacted her understanding of how to analyze complex legal issues. The following summer Alyssa worked as an academic intern for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in the Child Abuse Division. At the end of the summer, the District Attorney’s Office offered her a position as a long-term paid intern, which she accepted and maintained until her last semester of law school.

In 2018, Alyssa distinguished herself at the school’s Summer Trial Academy, where she was named Top Advocate. She was subsequently placed on several prominent advocacy teams. Alyssa competed in mock trial and moot court competitions across the country, including Alabama, Georgia, New York, Virginia, Texas, and California. She was a member of the school’s Board of Advocates and was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers, a nationally recognized society for top graduates who excelled in advocacy.

Additionally, she was selected as a recipient of the Dean’s Outstanding Advocate Award. Alyssa’s irrefutable passion for helping, coupled with her academic achievements, illustrates her willingness to work hard as well as succeed in any undertaking with a high degree of skill and care.
