Anderson, TX – Three Killed in Head-On Crash on Hwy 90 near Country Rd 180

Anderson, TX (February 3, 2021) – Three people have lost their lives and one person was seriously injured after a head-on collision that occurred on Highway 90 near Country Road 180 this past Friday, January 29. 

Sources indicate that at approximately 4:45 p.m., a 2016 Honda Accord was headed south on Highway 90 when it passed into a no-passing zone. The Accord was then involved in a collision with a 2009 Ford Flex. 

Three people lost their lives in the accident. They were identified as 28-year-old Anel Ovidio Javier, of Lewisville, who was driving the Honda. He was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. 

Javier’s passenger, Erick Almonte Nunez, 20, of Lewisville, was also pronounced deceased at the site of the accident. The Ford’s passenger was identified as 69-year-old El Campo resident Lorraine Cunningham. She lost her life at the scene. The driver, Michael Cunningham, 68, of El Campo, was transported to St Joseph Health Regional Hospital in serious condition.
