Batami Baskin

Attorney

Batami Baskin is an accomplished attorney driven by her passion for justice and advocacy. Raised in the vibrant Westbury area of Houston, Texas, Batami’s early exposure to the law was informed by her parents’ experience of immigrating to the United States. Completing her undergraduate studies with distinction at The University of Texas at Austin, she majored in Plan II Honors and Business Honors. She continued her education at the University of Houston Law Center, where she was an editor of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and research assistant to Dean Richard Alderman. She completed a fellowship with Chief Justice Adele Hedges of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.

Throughout her career, Batami has demonstrated her versatility and proficiency in various practice areas, including commercial litigation, product liability, consumer law, and employment law. As a dedicated advocate for her clients, she finds satisfaction in being a guiding hand to those facing challenging situations and approaches her cases with a deep understanding of her clients’ needs.

Beyond the courtroom, Batami enjoys swimming, walking in Memorial Park, and exploring the diverse culinary offerings in Houston. Her compassionate nature extends to volunteering, where she actively seeks opportunities to make a positive impact in her community.

Batami’s approach to life is best summarized by her favorite quote from a volunteer trip to Argentina: “No maldigas la oscuridad, enciende una luz.” This mantra, urging us to “turn on a light” instead of cursing the darkness, is a reflection of her unwavering commitment to illuminate paths of justice and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
