Crosby, TX (July 8, 2021) – Authorities in Crosby are investigating a fatal collision that happened in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 8. The incident was reported to have taken place on FM 2100.
Officials arrived at the scene shortly after 1:00 AM located near Crosby high school. They found that a woman who had been driving a Kia was ejected from her vehicle during a crash. However, the other vehicle involved was nowhere at the scene.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical professionals who responded to the call concerning the crash. Her identity has not been released at this time.
Police are under the impression that the woman was in a collision with a Ford Explorer. Witnesses stated that the driver of the Explorer initially remained at the scene, but later fled in a blue pick up truck.
Proportion of FM 2100 where the accident occurred was closed while responders worked to clear the area. Delays in traffic were observed for some time.
Police and Crosby continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck. No other information is available at this time.
