Truck Accidents in Fort Worth

Serious, catastrophic, or even deadly injuries are more likely to result from a commercial truck accident than a regular vehicle accident. This is due to the massive size of these vehicles, often weighing an average of 80,000 pounds. When traveling at their maximum speed, semi-trucks require hundreds of feet and several seconds to come to a complete stop.
The force of a commercial truck with a full load traveling at approximately 65 miles per hour is the same as detonating 500 pounds of dynamite. Those involved in traffic accidents with these massive vehicles often stand no chance of walking away unscathed.
Those injured in these often devastating collisions are usually eligible for financial compensation that can help cover the cost of their injuries and damages. Unfortunately, car wrecks of this nature are usually caused by some form of driver negligence. Injuries suffered due to the negligence of other people, by law in Texas, can be compensated for by filing a personal injury or wrongful death claim, depending on the circumstances of the wreck itself.
