Grimes Co, TX – Triple Fatality in Crash on TX-90

Grimes Co, TX (February 07, 2021) – Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a fatal two-car collision on Texas 90 just north of Anderson in Grimes County on Friday, February 5th.

An initial crash investigation reveals that, at about 4:45 p,m., a car heading southbound along Texas 90 passed in a no-passing zone, causing it to crash into another vehicle.  

The driver of the first car, Anel Ovidio Javier, 28, a resident of Lewisville, and the passenger, Erick Almonte Nunez, 20, also of Lewisville, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the other vehicle, Lorraine Cunningham, 69, a resident of El Campo, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of that vehicle, Michael Cunningham, 68, also a resident of El Campo, sustained serious injuries and was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.

This accident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
