Pedestrian Fatalities in Harris County

Accidents involving pedestrians happen daily across the United States. In Texas, in 2016, a total of 678 pedestrians were killed, making auto-pedestrian accidents account for about 20% of all vehicular fatalities within the state. This total represents a 21.5% increase from 2015.
It is important that motorists stay alert when it comes to seeing pedestrians. The majority of these accidents take place due to the fact that drivers are not looking for pedestrians so they fail to notice when they are in or near the roadway.
