A major storm system ripped through Harris County and southeast Texas on Tuesday.  Flooding, hail, and high winds struck the Houston area quickly in the afternoon, causing significant damage to homes and businesses. A massive tornado rocked the quiet streets of Deer Park and Baytown, destroying powerlines, businesses, neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and nursing homes.

While we don’t yet know the financial repercussions of this event, officials warn the damages are catastrophic.
