Houston, TX (April 9, 2021) – A motor vehicle collision reported in the Houston area resulted in the hospitalization of at least one person on April 6. At around 7:20 a.m., officers from the Houston Police Department along with Houston fire and rescue were dispatched to the scene of a five-vehicle crash on US-59.
Reports show that the accident took place on US-59 near the 610 West Loop for currently unspecified reasons. EMTs were dispatched to the scene shortly after the collision occurred in order to tend to injured parties.
Seriously injured patients were sent to the hospital via ambulance. EMTs and police remained on-site for an extended period of time, causing extensive delays in traffic. Wreckers took several hours to clear the scene and local motorists were forced to find alternate travel routes.
