Houston, TX (August 9, 2021) – At approximately 10:54 a.m. on the morning of August 9, a vehicle collision occurred at an intersection in Houston that required an emergency response. The wreck was reported to authorities in the area shortly after it occurred.
Officials arrived at the scene, located near the 10600 block of Almeda Genoa near Gamebird Lane. An unspecified number of vehicles were involved in a wreck that caused injuries.
At least one person required treatment on-site. Those who required extensive care were transported to local medical centers for further evaluation and treatment as needed.
The scene remained active with responders for several hours after the wreck occurred, causing serious traffic delays in the area. Drivers were asked to find different routes of travel for the remainder of the investigation.
