Houston, TX (June 20, 2021) – A major auto accident took place on Highway 288 in Houston on the morning of Saturday, June 19. Crews were forced to close the freeway as they investigated the cause of the incident and worked to clear the debris left behind from the crash. 

The incident was reported to have occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 288 near Holcombe just after 11:00 a.m. At least one person lost their life and another was injured, according to information from officials. 

All northbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours as the investigation was being carried out. The identities of those involved have not been released to the public at this time.
