Houston, TX (April 22, 2021) – Houston police are currently investigating the events that led up to a fatal accident in the East End late on Wednesday, April 21. The incident was reported to officials shortly after 11:00 p.m.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the 6900 block of Navigation Boulevard near the Houston Fire Station 20. A 74-year-old woman, who has not been publicly identified, lost her life shortly after the accident happened.
The at-fault driver was stated to have admitted to running a red light just before being involved in the collision. Investigators hope to utilize surveillance camera footage in the area in order to aid their investigation.
Local motorists were urged to avoid the area while respondents worked to secure the scene. Delays in traffic were observed for some time on the night of April 21.
