Houston, TX (October 16, 2021) – At approximately 7:40 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, October 14. Houston police were called to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident in west Houston.
Sources state that the wreck occurred on Bellaire Boulevard near Cook Road when a woman was crossing the street. She was struck by a vehicle for reasons still under police investigation. The woman was pronounced deceased a short time after responders arrived at the scene.
The driver remained at the site of the collision and cooperated with police. At this time, no one involved has been identified as authorities in Houston continue to investigate.
Traffic was delayed in the area for some time while police worked to secure the scene of the wreck. Local motorists were urged to utilize alternative routes of travel for the time being.
