Houston, TX - Driver Killed After Rear-End Crash on SW Fwy near Newcastle

Houston, TX (November 20, 2021) – A driver lost their life after a pickup truck collided with the rear of their vehicle on a freeway in Houston on November 20. At around 3:00 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the accident scene in order to assist involved parties. 

The incident happened on the Southwest Freeway on Saturday near Newcastle for reasons still under local law enforcement investigation. Reports indicate that the vehicle was moving slowly or was possibly stalled in the road when it was struck from behind. 

While officers were working at the scene of the crash, one of their police vehicles was also hit by a car. The driver who lost their life in the rear-end crash has not been identified to the public at this time. 

Police in Houston continue to investigate the details of the incident. No further details are currently available to report.
