Houston, TX (December 19, 2021) – A driver has lost his life after he rear-ended the back of a semi-truck stopped on a feeder road. The incident happened at approximately 2:45 a.m. on the morning of December 18.
Reports indicate the crash occurred at the intersection of the Katy Freeway and Central Park West. The driver of the 18-wheeler had his truck stopped in the moving outbound right lane of the Katy Freeway, He reported that he was stopped due to being fatigued.
A man traveling in that same lane did not see the truck and collided with its back end. His vehicle slid underneath the semi-truck as a result of the crash.
The driver, who remains unidentified at this time, lost his life at the scene. Police added that where the semi-truck stopped was illegal.
The District Attorney’s Office is currently looking into possible charges. Police continue to investigate.
