Houston, TX (January 1, 2022) – A fatal crash reported in Downtown Houston on Friday took the life of one woman. Just after noon on December 31, the Houston Police responded to the scene of a crash on the Eastex Freeway.
Reports provided by the Houston Police Department show that a collision between a pickup truck and a sedan occurred on the northbound side of Eastex Freeway, US Highway 59.
The crash caused delays in the area near Quitman Street as crews worked to clear the scene.
The female driver of the sedan suffered severe injuries in the accident. She was transported by ambulance to St Joseph’s Medical Center. The police confirmed that the woman passed away after arriving.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
