Houston, TX – Electric Scooter Rider Loses Life on FM 1942

Houston, TX (June 18, 2021) – A fatal pedestrian accident took the life of one person on June 18. Just before 12:00 noon, the incident was reported to officials in Houston. 

Paramedics, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the site of the crash to help those involved. Upon their arrival at the scene, located on FM 1942, they located a man lying in the roadway. He was identified as a 57-year-old who had been headed north in the 3400 block of FM 1942 just before the incident occurred. 

A 24-year-old driver rear-ended the man for reasons still under police investigation. Due to the force of the crash, the man was ejected from his bike. He was pronounced deceased by medical professionals a short time after the accident occurred.  

The woman who struck him remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. Police in Houston continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck.
