Houston, TX (July 28, 2021) – A bicyclist lost their life on a roadway in Houston on the night of July 27/Morning of July 28. According to reports, a 25-year-old cyclist was hit by a car on Westheimer Road when he was crossing the street in the  6200 block of Westheimer on a BMX bike. 

During this time, the bicyclist was hit by a Nissan Maxima that was headed east on Westheimer. The driver stopped to render aid, however, the bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

No one involved has been identified to the public at this point in time as authorities in Houston continue to investigate. Delays in traffic were observed for some time while crews worked to clear the scene.
