Houston, TX (February 9, 2021) – A bicyclist who was trying to cross a highway in Houston was fatally struck by a vehicle this past Saturday, February 6. The crash happened at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Highway 6, according to reports. 

The vehicle that struck the cyclist fled the scene of the crash after it occurred, according to authorities. Sources indicate the wreck happened in the 8100 block of Highway 6 just north of Forest Trails Drive. 

The victim was identified as an adult Hispanic man who was traveling across the highway. While doing so, a black car headed north hit him, according to witness statements. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical professionals. 

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently underway.
