Houston, TX – Fatal Car Crash on Fidelity St

Houston, TX (January 24, 2021) – Houston police responded to a fatal car accident in the 700 block of Fidelity Street at about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19th.

Officials have charged one of the men involved with failure to stop and render aid.

The victim’s identity is awaiting verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Police reports show that the victim was driving a Kia Forte and had just turned onto Fidelity Street from Delaware Street when a black Infinity G35 traveling at a high rate of speed collided with the Kia, causing both cars to spin. The Infinity crashed into a pole and the Kia flipped over and crashed into a house on Fidelity Street. 

Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver of the Kia dead at the scene.  

The striking driver fled the scene on foot. He was later located and taken to a local hospital and later charged.
