Houston, TX (July 10, 2021) – The driver of a car that was rear-ended when it stopped unexpectedly on a highway in north Houston on Saturday, July 10th, has reportedly lost their life.
The accident took place at about 8:00 p.m. on Highway 249 in the area of the Greens Road exit ramp when a man in a car driving on 249 pulled in front of a van and then hit the brakes. Unable to avoid the car, the van crashed into its back end.
The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital, where he passed away. The condition of the van’s driver is unknown.
Investigators have not yet determined what caused the sudden stop but have ruled out driver impairment as a factor.
