Houston, TX (December 07, 2020) – Five victims were injured in a car accident involving a police cruiser on Saturday, December 5th in the northwest part of Harris County.
Reports indicate that the collision took place at about 3:00 a.m. at the intersection of Queenston Boulevard and the 17500 block of Clay Road.
Responding to reports of a vehicle pursuit, the two deputies from Harris County were traveling westbound along Clay Road when the police vehicle collided with a Ford F-150 pick-up truck.
The police cruiser t-boned the Ford, which had three occupants.
Both of the Ford’s passengers and its driver were transported via ambulances to local hospitals for emergency treatment of injuries classified as serious.
Both Harris County deputies were also taken to a medical facility with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators do not think the cruiser had its lights and sirens on when the accident occurred.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
