Car Accidents in Texas

Houston, TX – Injuries Reported in Auto Accident on San Felipe St

Across the state of Texas, tens of thousands of people are involved in car accidents every single year, injuring and even killing thousands of innocent victims. As cited by the Texas Department of Transportation, there were more than 12,000 critical car accidents in 2018 that resulted in injury in Texas. Out of those accidents, nearly 15,000 people were injured and over 3,000 lost their lives.

Sadly, almost all of the car accidents that take place in Texas and throughout the United States are due to some form of driver negligence. Recent data collected about the most frequent causes of traffic accidents in the United States shows that roughly 94% of car crashes are the result of reckless, careless, and negligent drivers.

When people are hurt in accidents due to the negligence of other drivers, it is essential they seek legal guidance from a knowledgeable and qualified Houston car accident attorney. When victims incur losses in an accident they are not responsible for, they are often able to solicit compensation from the at-fault driver to cover the financial damages they sustained for medical care, lost wages, property damage, and several other economic and non-economic damages.
