Houston, TX (March 23, 2021) – A serious car wreck happened on an interstate in Fort Bend County on the evening of March 19. Just after 8:00 p.m., authorities and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Cane Island Parkway on Interstate 10 for a reported car accident with injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after it occurred. Injured parties were rendered immediate medical aid before being taken by ambulance to area hospitals as needed. The identities of the injured victims have not been released at this time.
Road closures were enforced in the area for several hours after the incident took place. Various first responders including the Katy Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety were present at the scene.
Traffic delays resulted for an extended period of time and drivers were asked to find alternate routes. The police in Houston continue their investigations into the circumstances of the wreck.
