Houston, TX (May 9, 2021) – A major vehicle accident was reported to authorities in Houston on the morning of May 9. Just after 12:00 a.m., EMTs and police were dispatched to the scene of the accident in order to help those involved.
Once at the scene, located in the 7700 block of the South Sam Houston Parkway East, paramedics began rendering aid to those who had been injured in the accident. Seriously injured patients who required additional treatment were taken to local medical centers by ambulance.
Their identities have not been made public at this time. The contributing factors of the collision remain under police investigation. It is believed that at least two vehicles were involved in a collision that then resulted in injuries and traffic delays.
The roadway was blocked off in the area the accident took place while police and other responders worked to secure the scene. Local motorists were forced to find alternative travel routes for the time being.
