Houston, TX (April 27, 2021) – According to officers with the Harris County Police Department, a 55-year-old man was killed in a truck accident on the Fred Hartman Bridge on Tuesday afternoon, April 27.
Officials said that the deadly collision occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Highway 146. The accident involved a black pickup truck that appeared to be nearly destroyed beneath the rear end of an 18-wheeler truck.
Authorities said that the investigation lasted nearly five hours, and all lanes were closed until close to 9:00 p.m. The identity of the man killed has not been released, however.
The events leading up to the collision are still under investigation.
