Houston, TX (May 11, 2021) – Police in Houston are currently investigating a deadly accident that happened on the evening of Monday, May 10. At around 9:20 p.m., police and EMTs were sent to assist at the scene.
Upon their arrival at the crash site, located in the 4700 block of Wayne Street near Rand Street, paramedics observed at least one person had been hurt in the collision. A red pickup truck was headed north while speeding when it hit a dip in the road and lost control.
The truck then hit a light pole and rolled several times before coming to a full stop in front of a house. A female passenger present in the truck at the time of the collision was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
No one involved has been publicly identified at this time. Police continue to investigate.
