Houston, TX (December 24, 2020) – Two people have lost their lives and another was injured in a wrong-way collision that occurred on State Highway 288 on the southside of Houston on the night of December 23.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday on the toll road on SH-288 near Holly Hall. A woman was traveling in the southbound lanes when she was struck by a wrong-way driver.
The driver also struck another vehicle that was being driven by a 21-year-old female accompanied by her 25-year-old passenger. They were both pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
The female driver of the first car that was struck was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Police stated that she suffered severe leg injuries and had to be extricated from her car by fire crews.
