Houston, TX (January 10, 2022) – At around 8 p.m., on January 9, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a crash on East Loop Freeway.

Reports from authorities show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 900 block of the East Loop Freeway near Clinton Road.

The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to render aid to the victim. However, they passed away at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
