Houston, TX – Semi-Truck Crash with Injuries on IH 45 at Paramatta Ln

Houston, TX (December 4, 2020) – A major injury crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle occurred on a highway in Houston on Thursday evening.

According to the Houston District of the Texas Department of Transportation, the incident took place just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, on Interstate Highway 45 in the northbound lanes near the Paramatta Lane exit (DOT).

The contributing factors of the accident have not been reported at this time. Still, sources indicated a semi-truck along with a passenger vehicle overturned as a result of the crash. All first responders, including police, paramedics, and fire crews, were present at the collision scene to assist the injured victims. At this time, the extent of the injuries to the victims involved has not been made public.

No one involved in the crash has been publicly identified. Local law enforcement officials continue their investigation of the accident. The total number of injured accident victims also has not been released at the present time.

All northbound travel lanes of Interstate Highway 45 were closed while first responders were at the crash site. All traffic in the area was directed to exit at Paramatta Lane for some time following the incident.

According to the Texas DOT, the collision was cleared from the roadway by 9:20 p.m. An accident investigation is currently ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
