Houston, TX (December 16, 2021) –  Victims were injured in an auto accident reported in Houston on the afternoon of Thursday, December 16. At approximately 3:30 p.m., the wreck was reported to officials who promptly responded to the scene.

Sources say it happened at the intersection of West 20th Street and Durham Drive and involved a METRO bus. Three people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash.

Officials stated that a van ran a red light at the intersection and collided with the bus. The force of the impact pushed the bus onto the sidewalk and into a vending machine that was leaning up against a building at the time.

It was reported that the bus driver and two passengers were transported to an area medical center with injuries. Their names have not been released at this time.

Police in Houston continue to investigate the details of the incident. Our thoughts are with those involved as we hope for their full recovery.
