Houston, TX (March 17, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a box truck caused delays and injuries on a roadway in Houston on the morning of March 12. At approximately 8:15 a.m., police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the area of State Highway 6 on the Katy Freeway/I-10.

The factors contributing to the cause of the incident have not been reported at this time. At least one person sustained injuries in the crash.

EMS personnel rendered aid to injured parties before transporting those in need to local hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. Officers with the Houston Police Department had three lanes of the interstate blocked off to allow responders to work safely at the crash site.

Expected traffic delays on Interstate 10 in the vicinity of State Highway 6 for some time on the morning of March 12 while responders worked to clear the area. Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes for the time being.
