Houston, TX (December 30, 2020) – Two young children were injured in an automobile accident that took place in southwest Houston this past Tuesday morning, December 29. According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of South Braeswood near South Rice when a vehicle crashed into a tree.
According to the Houston Police Department, the vehicle involved in the crash was traveling at speeds over 100 miles per hour when it collided with a tree on the side of the road. Three people were present in the car at the time, including two small children who were in the backseat without car seats.
All three occupants of the vehicle were transported to a nearby medical center for treatment. One of the children, a one-year-old, is in critical condition due to injuries they suffered in the crash. The other child, identified as a 3-year-old, suffered injuries of a non-life-threatening nature according to officials. The driver of the vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
