Car Accidents in Houston, Texas
Every year, although more than 270,000 vehicle collisions take place each year in our state, these accidents leave more than 17,500 people with serious injuries. Quite often, accident victims require immediate medical treatment and have to go through therapy, rehabilitation, and other long-term treatments. Although we like to think that these accidents are happening everywhere, but here, this is far from the truth. Houston, being one of the most populated cities in Texas, also sees more car accidents than almost any other city in the Lone Star State. Approximately 5,387 Houston car accidents caused injuries to about 7,307 people in 2012. Roughly 12,014 of those collisions caused injuries of some sort, harming approximately 19,703 individuals. Unfortunately, a large percentage of these accidents are caused by driver negligence.
