Houston, TX (March 30, 2021) – Police in Houston are currently investigating a fatal accident that trapped a woman and man inside a pickup truck that flipped onto its roof. The incident was reported to have taken place on Sunday, March 28.
Officials stated that the collision occurred on the northbound exit ramp of Highway 249/Tomball Parkway around midnight. The man involved, identified as a 29-year-old, lost his life at the scene.
Authorities stated that the truck hit the freeway’s right-side barrier at the exit ramp. Firefighters extricated the woman from the vehicle at the scene and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Neither victim has been identified to the public at this time.
The exit ramp was closed into the early morning hours of Monday, March 29 while responders worked to clear the wreckage and investigate. Traffic was delayed in the area for an extended period of time.
