Houston, TX (June 14, 2021) – A man was killed while seven more people sustained injuries when a car drove into the crowd at a mud racing event on Sunday, June 14th in Houston.

The deceased, who has since been identified as 21-year-old Willie Valadez Ramirez, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Two of the victims are in critical but stable condition. The remaining five endured injuries that were classified as non-critical.

The crash happened when one of the vehicles left the mud track, struck, and then broke through a guard rail. It also collided with three other vehicles.
