Madisonville, TX (June 14, 2021) – An airplane crash in southeast Texas caused the death of one person and injury to five more on Monday, June 14th.
A local news source reported that the small aircraft split in half during the crash, which occurred when it attempted to land at Madisonville Municipal Airport outside of Houston at about 1:00 a.m.
The deceased victim has since been identified as Sgt. Justin Ruiz.
The five crash victims were in critical condition when they were airlifted to local hospitals.
Authorities are now investigating what caused the crash.
