Spring, TX (May 1, 2021) – An 81-year-old woman lost her life on Friday, April 29 after the ambulance she was being transported in was involved in a collision. Information from officials states that the crash happened at around 11:00 p.m.
A medic and a driver were also present inside the ambulance at the time of the crash. It rolled over at least once after it was hit by another vehicle that ran a red light. All three ambulance occupants were transported to an area hospital in order to receive treatment for their injuries.
Two people inside the car that hit the ambulance were also transported with injuries. The driver was listed in critical condition. The patient present inside the ambulance at the time of the crash, an 81-year-old woman, lost her life. Her name has not been released at this time.
The footage from the ambulance’s video camera is being reviewed as part of the crash investigation. No further information is available at this time.
