Firm partner Jim Hart is an exceptional legal professional, former quarterback, family man, and native Texan with an innate dedication to protecting and serving those who have been wrongfully injured by negligent corporations. His compassionate presence invokes a sense of comfort among clients and staff alike. Practicing law since 1991, he has been a dedicated advocate for his clients throughout his entire legal career.
Jim went on to graduate with honors and has since accrued an impressive record of courtroom triumphs, which involve toxic torts, product liability, trucking collisions, and work-related injuries and deaths, with numerous cases involving fires and explosions at chemical plants and refineries. As someone who understands the challenges of supporting a household on a single income, Jim is a strong advocate for those who are injured and out of work through no fault of their own. “Whether it is allowing someone who is unable to work to be provided the money that will allow them to support their families for the rest of their lives or working on a union matter and being able to put an employee back to work who did not deserve to be terminated, we are focused on helping the client get results.”
Jim strongly believes that client involvement is an integral component of the success of their case. He strives to help the people he represents feel both listened to and informed about the progress and status of their case. His legal excellence is recognized by his selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2004.
He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1983. In addition to his devotion to his studies, he was a four-year football letterman, winning the Southwest Conference Sportsmanship Award for his performance as Co-Captain in his senior year. In 1988, he returned to Texas Tech University, this time to attend its School of Law. He went on to attain his law degree, graduating cum laude in 1991.
In his personal time, he is an active member of his church and a supporter of his alma mater, Texas Tech University, where he is a member of the Letterman’s Association and the Double T Varsity Club.
Jim is a family man at heart and manages to spend quality time with Susan and their five daughters. In his children’s youth, he enjoyed coaching the girls’ basketball teams, attending cheerleading competitions, and dance recitals. Although his daughters are all grown, and his family has grown to include four sons-in-law and two granddaughters, he still spends as much time with them as he can. Outside of the office, Jim is also a golfer and an avid spectator of his alma mater’s athletic teams. (Go Tech!)
