Saturday Jazz Night Wrap-Up: Thank You, League City

Saturday Jazz Night has come and gone, but the music is still ringing in our ears. On May 30, Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP had the honor of sponsoring the 3rd Annual Saturday Jazz Night at League Park in League City, and it was a night to remember. From the first note to the last, League Park was full of neighbors, families, and music lovers enjoying a warm evening together.

A Night to Remember at League Park

This year’s lineup brought some serious talent to the stage. The evening featured:

  • Kyle Turner — a Houston saxophonist known for his smooth, expressive style
  • Keeshea Pratt — a powerhouse vocalist blending gospel, soul, and blues
  • The TSU Jazz Ensemble — an award-winning group from Texas Southern University

The night also opened with a special performance by the Dickinson Music Enrichment Center (TDMEC) Jazz Ensemble, made up of students from Dickinson High School. TDMEC gives school-aged kids free music lessons and instruments, with a focus on students who might not otherwise have the chance. Watching those young musicians open the show was one of our favorite parts of the evening.

Food trucks lined the park, and the Soulfreak Railroad Café kept the food and drinks coming all night. Families spread out on lawn chairs around the fountain and gazebo, kids ran around while the sun went down, and neighbors caught up with each other as the music played.

Why We Showed Up

Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP has spent decades representing working people and families across Texas. Standing up for people in the courtroom is only part of how we try to give back. Events like Saturday Jazz Night let us connect with the community outside of a legal case, during a good moment instead of a hard one.

We’re grateful to the City of League City, the League City Convention and Visitors Bureau, and KTSU-FM 90.9 for putting together another great year of this local tradition, and to TDMEC for the reminder of how much talent is growing right here at home.Williams Hart & Boundas team members at Saturday Jazz Night near the stage in League City

Thank You, League City

Thank you to everyone who came out, and to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. Nights like this are exactly why we love the communities we work in, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Saturday Jazz Night.
