This month, the Williams Hart & Boundas team proudly stood with union members at the Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 6 Convention, held at the Ameristar Casino and Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri, from October 6–8, 2025. The annual convention brought together hundreds of dedicated union members and leaders from across the region to discuss workplace safety, advocacy, and the future of organized labor.
As long-time supporters of the CWA, our firm was honored to attend as both an exhibitor and exclusive sponsor of the Welcome Reception at Chicken N Pickle, where attendees connected, celebrated, and strengthened solidarity across locals.
Presenting the CWA Rapid Response Program
During the convention, Senior Attorney Eloy Gaitan presented on the CWA Rapid Response Program, an initiative created by Managing Partner John Eddie Williams, Jr, Senior Partner Jim Hart, and CWA President Claude Cummings Jr, to ensure union members and their families have immediate access to trusted legal representation after catastrophic incidents.
When serious accidents occur, whether on the road, in the workplace, or during travel, timely legal guidance can make a critical difference. Through the Rapid Response Program, CWA members gain:
- 24/7 emergency legal assistance following major accidents
- Direct access to experienced attorneys familiar with union workplaces and third party injury claims
- Immediate support to help families navigate the aftermath of an accident
- No-cost consultations to determine available legal remedies and protections
