Griffin Bunnell

Griffin Bunnell ATTORNEY

Griffin joined Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP in 2013, shortly after being licensed to practice law. Growing up in the working-class community of Port Lavaca, Texas, Griffin developed a deep admiration for the hard work, resilience, and dedication of the farmers and petrochemical workers in the area. This upbringing fostered a deep-rooted work ethic and dedication to service, which have been a big part of how approaches his work as an attorney.

After graduating from Calhoun High School, Griffin enrolled at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, and graduated in 2008. He then went on to obtain a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2011. Throughout high school and college, Griffin was a tennis player and jazz drummer.

In the early years at Williams Hart, Griffin focused exclusively on representing workers and their families in complex asbestos exposure cases. Building upon this experience, he now dedicates his practice to a wide array of legal matters affecting individuals and businesses. His expertise encompasses work-related injuries and fatalities, 18-wheeler and commercial vehicle accidents, first-party insurance disputes, labor law, and commercial litigation.

Griffin is passionate about being a lawyer because it is an occupation that allows him to engage with people on a daily basis. He enjoys working closely with clients and their families, as well as interacting with judges, opposing counsel, witnesses, and others involved in the legal process.

Service to others is a core value that Griffin inherited from his family. His grandfather, mother, and father all worked as dedicated primary care physicians. Additionally, Griffin was inspired to become a trial lawyer by the example of his uncles and aunt, who are committed advocates for individuals and families in need.

Williams Hart’s reputation as a leading personal injury firm, known for its power, resources, and unwavering commitment to helping those who need it most, aligns perfectly with Griffin’s values and professional goals. He believes there is something inherently fulfilling about meeting a person or family that is hurting and having the chance to alleviate even a small portion of their burden, allowing them to focus on healing without the worry of legal matters.

Griffin has successfully secured tens of millions of dollars in compensation for individuals and families affected by asbestos exposure, alongside millions more for injured victims. Notably, he secured over two-million-dollars for a contractor injured at a plastics manufacturing company. Additionally, Griffin has obtained multiple million-dollar settlements in cases involving 18-wheeler collisions and commercial properties damaged by Hurricane Harvey. His hard work goes a long way towards getting his clients the best possible outcome, something that has been recognized by the Houston Chronicle, which named him among the “Best Personal Injury Lawyers in Houston.”

He resides in Houston with his wife, Angela, and cherishes his close-knit family, including his three younger brothers, nieces, and nephews. When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys fly-fishing and cheering on the Astros, Rockets, and his beloved Calhoun High School Sandcrabs.
