Samantha Smith ATTORNEY
Samantha Smith has been an attorney at Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP since 2007. She brings over twenty-five years of legal experience to the table, having begun practicing law in 1998. Her practice focuses on asbestos litigation and bankruptcy, helping victims diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, and other related cancers.
In addition to her years of experience, Samantha is also personally invested in the fight against asbestos. For generations, her family worked in the very same industries where a majority of asbestos-affected clients originated. She understands just how difficult it can be for a family affected by asbestos, and this understanding compels her to fight hard when advocating for the people she represents. Her compassion and personal connection has driven her to make a difference in the lives of those injured by asbestos.
Samantha is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Oklahoma, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1994, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a focus on Speech Communications. She then attended the South Texas College of Law, receiving her law degree in 1998.
In addition to her legal work, Samantha is also an active member of the legal community. She is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and several other professional organizations. She has also had the honor of being selected by her peers for inclusion in the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2008, and was listed in Texas Monthly’s Top Young Attorneys list the same year.
Outside of her busy professional life, Samantha makes sure to find time to give back to her community. She is a longtime supporter of local animal rescues, and enjoys doing what she can to help the pets in need in her area.
