Stasja Drecun Attorney
Stasja Drecun joined Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP as an attorney in 2024. She focuses her practice on mass tort litigation, especially those involving pharmaceuticals and defective medical devices. She also has notable experience with casework involving personal injury, premise liability, employment discrimination, and products liability. She is dedicated to fighting the good fight against unscrupulous parties, and strives to protect her clients’ rights and ensure they get the compensation they deserve.
Stasja is uniquely equipped to handle cases based in the medical field, owing to her work experience before she entered law school. She spent a number of years training as an academic research scientist with a focus on neuroscience and stem cell engineering. She also worked in medical diagnostics before beginning on the path towards becoming a plaintiff lawyer. This experience gives her first hand insight into the medical system, leaving her well equipped to navigate it as an attorney.
Stasja is licensed to practice in Texas, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She attended the University of Toronto, Trinity College, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in 2016, and then receiving her Masters of Applied Science in 2018. She then went on to attend the University of Houston Law Center, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 2022. While attending law school, Stasja got a head start on gaining experience in the legal field by serving as an intern with the Honorable Judge Christine Weems of the 281st District Court in Harris County, Texas. She was also an active participant in a number of student law programs. She was a member of her school’s mock trial team, the alternative dispute resolution team, and the Nancy Atlas IP Inn of Court. She participated in a number of law clinics, and at one point served as the competition director for the Hippard Open Mock Trial.
Now, Stasja continues to be an active participant in the legal community, working to expand her skillset and knowledge through her membership with a variety of professional organizations. She is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. She also gives back to the legal community and invests in the future of the profession by serving as a Mock Trial judge for her alma mater, the Houston Law Center.
Outside of her work in the legal community, Stasja is also a supporter of FOCUS America. She serves as an advocacy and fundraising board member, and is an active volunteer for FOCUS Houston. She takes great pride in the work done through this organization, especially the recently opened women’s center for new and existing moms in Sharpstown, Houston.
