Meet the Winners of the 2026 Blue Collar to Big Dreams Scholarship
Sierra N.
I am a native of Yorba Linda, California and will continue my education at Idaho State University in the Fall of 2026. I will pursue a bachelor’s degree in health science.
I am truly honored and grateful to be selected for the Blue Collar to Big Dreams Scholarship. Your support is deeply appreciated and encourages me to pursue my goals with purpose and determination. This scholarship inspires me to stay committed, remain focused, and continue working hard towards a career as a physician assistant, where I can give back and make a difference in my community.
Katherine H.
Not all stages have spotlights, some are quiet moments where showing up matters most. I’m Katie Hobbs, a senior at Oliver Ames High School in Easton, Massachusetts. Throughout high school, I’ve balanced my passion for music and theater with service by teaching swim lessons, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and most recently working with dementia patients.
This fall, I’ll attend Colby-Sawyer College to study nursing while continuing in the arts. I hope to become a pediatric nurse who brings creativity and compassion into patient care, and to give back through outreach and mission work in underserved communities.
Winning this scholarship is incredibly meaningful to me because it reflects the values my family has instilled in me. My essay focused on my father, a blue-collar worker who taught me that hard work, integrity and perseverance can create opportunity, even through non-traditional paths. This scholarship not only supports my education, but also honors the sacrifices my parents have made to get me here.
Nathan R.
My name is Nathaniel, and I’m from Mission, Texas down in the Rio Grande Valley. I’m currently working toward a Human Resources degree at Texas A&M, and my goal is to eventually move to a bigger city and work for a large corporation where I can help create fair and supportive workplaces.
This scholarship really means a lot to me, it helps take some of the pressure off my family and gives me the chance to focus fully on my education and future goals. I’m genuinely grateful for the support.
